Kazi ya kufundisha ni kazi ya kitaalamu hivyo inahitaji maandalizi wakati wote. Hivyo basi mwalimu anapaswa kufanya maandalizi ya kutosha kabla ya kuingia darasani kufundisha na kwa mantiki hiyo mwalimu analazimika kujiandaa ili kuepuka matatizo yafuatayo wakati wa kufundisha na kujifunza.
  • Kukosa mtiririko unaofaa wa ufundisahaji
  • Kufundisha kwa kubahatisha au kubabaisha
  • Kuchosha wanafunzi katika kujifunza
  • Uwezekano wa kupotosha maudhui
  • Kushindwa kutunza muda
  • Kushindwa kukidhi matarajio ya somo na ya wanafunzi

Andika hadithi ubaoni, lakini usiandike kichwa cha hadithi wala sentensi mbili za mwisho (‘Alitoa shuti – chini kuelekea kulia. Goli zuri!’) ubaoni mpaka sehemu ya mwisho kabisa ya somo lako.

Alikimbia tena na tena. Miguu yake iliuma kama tindikali. Aliweza kusikia waliokuwa wanamfukuzia wakiwa wanamkaribia. Alihisi kuwa asingeweza kukaa nao sana na kwa muda mrefu lakini alijua lazima afanye vile. Hatua zilikuwa zinamkaribia. ‘Haraka! Haraka!’alilia. ‘Siwezi! Siwezi!’ alijibu. Alijisikia nguvu kutoka sehemu fulani ndani ya mwili wake. Sasa alijua kuwa atafanikiwa.
Ghafla mtu alitokea kusikojulikana. ‘Nipate sasa au nisipate kabisa,’ alifikiri.

1.0 UTANGULIZI

Somo la Kiswahili ni miongoni mwa masomo ambayo yameonekana kuwa na changamoto katika mchakato wa ufundishaji na ujifunzaji. Katika kukabiliana na changamoto hizi Wizara ya Elimu na Mafunzo ya Ufundi kushirikiana na wadau mbalimbali wa elimu wamefanya jitihada za kuandaa miongozo ya masomo mbalimbali ikiwa ni pamoja na mwongozo wa Ufundishaji wa Walimu Kazini wa Somo la Kiswahili.
Mwongozo huu umeandaliwa ili kuweza kuziba mapengo ya ufundishaji na ujifunzaji wa baadhi ya mada za somo la Kiswahili kuanzia kidato cha kwanza hadi cha nne. Mwongozo umekusudiwa kutumika katika mzunguko wa kwanza kwa mafunzo ya walimu wa sekondari wa somo la Kiswahili.
